Crab-apple Salad

Another recipe from the old Sunset salad book. You didn't think I'd do main course salads without throwing in some crab, did you? Prep time is assuming you already have the crab meat available and don't have to sit and pick crabs! Read more !
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
2 cups cooked crab meat (fresh, frozen, or canned) left in good-sized pieces
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 tart apple, cored and cut into slivers (about 1 cup)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
salt, to taste
lettuce leaves to line bowl or individual dishes (about 4 cups)
1 red apple, peel left on, cut into slices
1 lemon, cut into 4 wedges
Directions:
1. Mix together the first six ingredients.
2. Cover and chill for several hours.
3. When you are ready to eat, place lettuce in serving bowl or 4 individual serving dishes.
4. Top with apple slices and lemon slices.
5. Serve immediately.
6. Squeeze lemon wedges over salad if you wish.
