We used to eat these on campouts. Starting the recipe the night before. I added the overnight soak time to the passive cook time .
Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Soak oats and buttermilk overnight.
2. In bowl, mix eggs, oat mixture and cooled butter.
3. Mix dry ingredients and add to bowl.
