When cut into,with imagination,looks like a sunset...maybe...kinda'...anyway,it's a good cake.
Ingredients:
for cake
1 yellow cake mix
1(3oz) package cream cheese
5 eggs
1 cup well drained,sliced peaches
1/3 cup red hot candies
for sauce
3/4 cup cherry juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Directions:
1. Cake:
2. In large bowl,combine dry cake mix,cream cheese,and eggs,blend will.
3. Grease and flour tube cake pan.
4. Spoon 2/3 of batter into prepared pan.
5. Arrange peach slices over the cake batter,not touching sides of pan.
6. Sprinkle Red Hots over peaches.
7. Spoon remaining cake batter over candies.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake test is done.
9. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes,turn out on wire rack or cake plate.
10. While still warm pour glaze over top.
11. Glaze: 1/2 Cup powdered Sugar,1 to 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice,mix and pour over warm cake.
12. Cool completely,serve with cherry sauce.
13. Cherry Sauce:
14. Combine cherry jucie,sugar,salt, and cornstarch in saucepan,cook over low heat about 5 minutes,stirring constantly. Serve over cake slices.
