Ingredients:
5 to 6 cups firm, tart apples, such as american cameo or granny smith (about 2 1/2 pounds or 4 medium apples)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup apple cider
Directions:
1. Peel, core and slice apples into medium to thick slices.
2. Place apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in small to medium slow-cooker.
3. Disolve cornstarch in apple cider and blend well.
4. Pour over apples and stir to blend.
5. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours; stir halfway through cooking. Serves 8.
