We eat a lot of chicken and it is always nice to find another good way to cook it, this is one of the good ones!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 (2 1/2 lb) frying chickens, cut up
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, sliced
1 -2 clove garlic, smashed
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds
Directions:
1. Coat chicken in flour and salt.
2. Saute in butter.
3. remove and keep warm.
4. Add next 3 ingredients, cook 3 minutes.
5. Blend in next 5 ingredients, mix well.
6. Add chicken, cover, simmer 30 minutes.
7. Garnish with almonds.
