Cornmeal Pie Crust

I haven't tried this, but thought it sounded interesting. You may want to use less salt, per review.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons shortening
1 egg
1/4 cup cold water
Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal, flour and 1 tsp salt in a bowl.
2. Cut in shortening.
3. In a separate bowl, beat together egg and 1/4 cup water.
4. Add to cornmeal mixture.
5. Press into 9 inch pie plate to form crust.
6. Use in place of regular pie crust.
