Corn Soup With Shrimp

Ingredients:
4 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup oil
3 strips bacon, fried crisp and chopped
2 whole tomatoes
1 cup onion, chopped
2 quarts water
1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 1/2 cups fresh corn
3 tbsp. bell pepper, chopped
3 tbsp. parsley, chopped
salt to taste
tobasco to taste
Directions:
1. Make a brown roux with oil and flour. Add onions and bell pepper. Cook for a few minutes, stirring often. Add bacon, shrimp, tomatoes, and corn. Cook about 30 minutes, covered on low heat. Stir occassionally. Add water, Tobasco, and salt and simmer about 1 hour. Add parsley and cook another 30 minutes.
