A fantastic alternative to cornmeal!
Ingredients:
21/2 cups crushed kellogg's toasted corn flakes
11/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
4 eggs
1 cup milk
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease an 8-inch square cake pan.
2. Sift flour,salt,and baking powder in a bowl. Add sugar and corn flakes.
3. Rub in the butter until resembles breadcrumbs.
4. In a large bowl,with a whisk, beat the eggs lightly with the milk.
5. Stir in the dry mixture(with corn flakes) until combined.
6. Pour the mixture into the pan,making sure the surface is flat.
7. Bake for 33 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool for 10 minutes and cut into squares and serve warm.
9. NOTE: You can turn it into Rice Krispies Bread or Cream of Wheat Bread.
