Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
3 tablespoons bacon drippings or oil
1 pound ground beef
1 (20 oz) can cream style corn
1 egg
milk (1/3) cup
1/2 cup cornmeal
2 teaspoons salt
pepper to taste
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1. Saute the onion and pepper in drippings until wilted. Add the meat and brown well. Add the corn and cook for one minute. Beat th egg and milk; add to meat mixture with cornmeal and seasoning. Pour into 1 quart baking dish. Top with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.
