Ingredients:
250 g plain all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
125 g unsalted butter, softened
250 g caster sugar (superfine)
4 ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
175 g good-quality dark chocolate chips or 175 g milk chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas 4).
2. Sift the flour and baking powder.

8. Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool.
9. Serve in thick slices with butter.
