Ingredients:
2 cups quick oats
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup natural bran
2 tablespoons flax seeds
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix all dry ingredients together.
3. Cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars on medium speed.
4. Add eggs and vanilla.
5. Add dry ingredients.
6. Stir in chocolate chips.
7. Drop round spoonful on a cookie sheet.
8. Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until starting to brown.
9. Place on cookie rack to cool.
