Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease and flour 2 9-inch layer pans.
  2. Sift flour; resift flour with baking powder and salt and set aside.
  3. Cream together Crisco and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Divide flour into 3 sections and add to cake batter, alternating with milk.
  5. Add vanilla.
  6. In separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
  7. Fold egg whites into cake batter.
  8. Fold crushed Oreos into cake batter.
  9. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, remove, and cool completely on wire wracks.
  11. Frosting: Beat Crisco until smooth.
  12. Gradually add powdered sugar, alternating with milk.
  13. Add vanilla.
  14. Add any additional milk until desired consistency is met.
  15. Frost cake and sprinkle with crushed Oreos.
