Cointreau Parfait Pie

This is my own recipe developed several years ago when I was looking for something cool, easy and different. It is always well received and never any leftovers. I refer to it as one of my brainless desserts. The time I have given includes chilling and is approximate.
Ingredients:
1 (85 g) package orange jell-o
1 cup boiling water
1/3 cup cointreau liqueur
1 pint vanilla ice cream
9 inches graham cracker crust
1/2 cup whipping cream (to garnish)
chocolate shavings (to garnish)
toasted almond (to garnish)
Directions:
1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
2. Add Cointreau.
3. Add ice cream by spoonfuls, stirring until melted.
4. Chill until thickened but not set.
5. Pour into pie shell and chill again until set.
6. Garnish thickly with whipping cream, chocolate and almonds.
