Ingredients:
2 tablespoons instant coffee
1 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Scald coffee with milk.
2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and well beaten eggs.
3. Strain milk; add gradually to sugar mixture.
4. Add butter; cook in a double boiler until thick and creamy, stirring constantly.
5. Add vanilla and cool.
