A soft, gooey coffee cake that is great for a mid-morning treat. Invite the neighbors over for some cake and gossip! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1 cup sour cream |
1 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp salt |
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour |
1/2 tsp vanilla extract |
2 tbsp sugar |
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon |
6 tbsp chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F.
2. Grease a bundt or tube pan.
3. Cream together butter and sugar.
4. Add eggs, sour cream, baking powder, baking soda, salt, flour and vanilla.
5. Beat until smooth.
6. Pour 3/4 batter into prepared pan.
7. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nuts in a small bowl.
8. Sprinkle half over batter in pan.
9. Pour remaining batter over the sugar mixture.
10. Top with remaining sugar mixture.
11. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
