Coconut Oatmeal Cookies

These are really, really crunchy. I made them and they were a big hit....one of my friends that doesn't care for coconut really loved these! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
(very crunchy cookie)
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
2 cups coconut
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons coconut rum (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup rolled oats
Directions:
1. Cream together the butter, adding sugar slowly and beating
2. until light and fluffy.
3. Add eggs, vanilla, beating well after each addition.
4. Sift together flour, soda, salt and baking powder.
5. Slowly add dry ingredients. Stir in oatmeal and coconut
6. flakes.
7. Drop by large teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
8. Bake in a preheated 375 degrees F., 12 to 15 minutes, or
9. until golden. Remove to wire racks to cool.
