  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)

  • 1 Beat egg in a bowl.
  • 2 Add milk, oil and essence and blend all well together.
  • 3 Stir in the dry ingredients.
  • 4 Mix well.
  • 5 Spoon into muffin pans.
  • 6 Bake at 180C (356 F) for 25 minutes.
  • 7 Remove from oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.
  • 8 Serve.
