Coconut Chocolate Brownies

Low-fat, low-cal brownie using applesauce. Cals reduced by from 178 per brownie to 102 per brownie by decreasing the amount of sugar by 1/4 of a cup and replacing margarine with unsweetened applesauce.
Ingredients:
125 g applesauce
21 1/2 g cocoa
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
Directions:
1. Gently heat applesauce in a saucepan. Add cocoa. Stir over low heat for one minute.
2. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Beat in coconut. Sift flour and baking powder. Stir into mixture.
5. Pour into shallow lined 20cm square cake tin. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Leave in tin for five minutes before turning out onto a wire rack. Cut into bars when cold.
