Cocoa Sauerkraut Cake

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped drained and rinsed sauerkraut
1 1/3 cups water
1 (6 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
3. Add vanilla.
4. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
5. Add alternately with 1 1/3 cups water.
6. Fold in sauerkraut.
7. Bake in greased 9x13 inch pan 35 to 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
8. Frost with Sour Cream Frosting.
9. Melt together chips and butter over low heat.
10. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, vanilla and enough powdered sugar to spread well.
