Cocoa Ripple Ring

This is my Dad's favorite cake.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup sweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening and the sugar.
3. Beat in the eggs until fluffy.
4. In a seperate bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
5. Alternating with the milk, blend the dry mixture into the egg mixture.
6. Grease a bundt or 9x9 baking pan.
7. Mix the cocoa and the walnuts together in a small bowl.
8. Spoon 1/3 of the batter into the pan.
9. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cocoa mix on top of this.
10. Repeat layers with batter& cocoa, ending with batter.
11. Bake for approximately 35 minutes.
12. Let stand for 5 minutes when done.
13. Turn onto a plate.
