Clams Baked With Chorizo

Flavorful baked clam appetizer with chorizo.
Ingredients:
1 clove garlic,peeled
1/4c almonds
1tbs capers
2tbs parsley
1/4c extra virgin olive oil,preferably spanish
3oz. mild chorizo,casing removed,minced
1/2c dry breadcrumbs
3 doz. littleneck clams on the half shell
Directions:
1. Turn on food processor,drop garlic through feed tube and process till minced. Add almonds,capers and parsley and process till finely ground.
2. Heat 1 Tbs oil in a medium-size skillet. Add chorizo and cook over med. heat till it starts sizzling. Add almond mixture and remaining oil. Saute briefly.Stir in bread crumbs and cook,stirring,over low heat till ingredients arewell blended.
3. Heat oven to 500. Spoon crumb topping onto clams.arrange on baking sheet. Bake 10 mins,until topping is sizzling and lightly browned. Serve
