These little delights are sure to please all. This recipe came from an estate sale several years ago and I know serve it on a regular basis at card parties and even bridal and baby showers. Enjoy
Ingredients:
6-1/2 ounce can minced clams
2 tablespoons diced onion
5 tablespoons butter divided
3-1/2 teaspoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
9 slices bread crusts removed

Directions:
1. Drain clams reserving juice then set aside.
2. In a skillet sauté onion in 1 tablespoon butter until tender then stir in flour until blended.
3. Gradually add horseradish, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt and reserved clam juice. Bring to boil and cook for 2 minutes then remove from heat and stir in clams.
4. Flatten bread with a rolling pin.
5. Melt remaining butter then brush one side of each slice of bread.
6. Spread with clam mixture and roll up.
7. Brush with remaining butter and sprinkle with paprika.
8. Cut rolls into thirds and place on a greased baking sheet.
9. Bake at 425 for 8 minutes then serve warm.
