Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups ripe cherries, pitted (or use plums, red grapes, blueberries, pears, apples, raspberries, or combination, peeled and sliced)
2 tablespoons kirsch (other other cherry brandy)
1 lemon, zest of, grated
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup whole milk
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 cup flour
Directions:
1. Toss fruit with the 2 tablespoons of sugar and kirsch and let marinade for 30 minutes.
2. Lightly butter and sugar (or use PAM) a 9 inch round baking dish, and arrange fruit and its juices on the bottom of the pan.
3. In the bowl of a food processor fitted with the metal blade, process sugar and lemon zest, then add all other ingredients. Pour batter over the fruit.
4. Bake until lightly browned and puffy, about 30 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.
