Cinnamon Snowballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 300º.
  2. Beat butter until creamy.
  3. Sift together 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add to butter. Blend well.
  5. Stir in oats. Blend in vanilla and nuts.
  6. Mix well about 5 minutes.
  7. Shape to form small balls.
  8. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 25 minutes. Remove from sheets.
  9. While hot sprinkle with 1/2 remaining sugar. Cool and sprinkle again.
