Cider Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries (will be 3 cups) or 1 (12 oz) bag frozen cranberries ( will be
  • 3/4 cup apple cider
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 -2 slice orange zest

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce the heat and cook at a very low boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  5. Transfer sauce to a serving dish. Cover and refrigerate.
  6. It will thicken as it chills. You'll need at least 5-6 hours.
