A simple Greek dish of octopus with oil (ladi) and oregano (rigani). Ingredients:
2 lbs octopus |
6 ounces olive oil |
1 -2 teaspoon oregano |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (to taste) |
1 teaspoon sea salt (to taste) |
3 ounces vinegar |
Directions:
1. Wash the octopus and remove the ink bag. 2. Place the octopus in a pot with the vinegar and a little water. 3. Bring to a boil and simmer until tender. 4. Cut the octopus into small pieces and add the salt and pepper. 5. Beat the oil, vinegar and oregano together and pour over the octopus and serve. |
