Christmas Cheesecake With English Toffee Filling

A Holiday cheesecake very pretty and festive.
Ingredients:
********************for crust
1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup toasted almonds finely chopped
1/2 cup english toffee bits
2 tablespoons ( packed) dark brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter ( melted)
filling
4 - 8 ounce packages cream cheese room temp.
1 cup ( packed ) dark brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
8 ounces chocolate-covered english toffee( such as a heath candy bar) cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
topping
1 -(16 -ounce ) sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. For crust*************
2. preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
3. mix first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl.
4. add butter, stir until moist clumps form.
5. press mixture over bottom and up 1 inch on sides of an 10 inch springform pan.
6. bake crust just until set about 5 minutes,set aside.
7. reduce oven now to 325 degrees F.
8. ******************** FOR FILLING***************************************
9. beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until blended, beat in eggs one at a time blending well after each addition.
10. beat in both extracts.
11. pour half of the mixture into prepared crust; sprinkle with toffe pieces, pouring remaining mixture over the toffee, bake until edges are puffed but center is barely set, about 55 minutes.
12. ************meanwhile prepare topping****************************
13. mix sour cream,sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl until smooth.
14. pour topping over hot cheesecake.bake until topping is just set, about 5 minutes......
15. transfer to a cool rack, cool 10 minutes..
16. run knife between cake and pan sides. chill cake uncovered overnight
17. remove pan sides and place cake on platter
18. garnish with red and green m&m's and red and green gumdrops
