I love rice crispy squares but don't eat marshmallows. So I came up with these squares to satisfy my craving with a little chocolate thrown in for good measure. You can mix semi-sweet white and dark chocolate or just use the white or just the dark. It's totally up to you. You can add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, dried fruit or whatever you think would add to the taste of this recipe. Remember to keep these in the refrigerator. They need to stay cold so they don't melt and fall apart.
Ingredients:
4 cups crispy rice cereal (i used sunflower brand as they are smaller and harder then the conventional rice crispies)
7 ounces chocolate (melted)
Directions:
1. Chop up 7 oz of chocolate of your choice. Put in a double boiler and heat until melted.
2. Add the rice crispy cereal and mix well to coat the rice crispies.
3. Add anything else you want into the mix.
4. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan.
5. Put in the fridge to set up.
6. Cut and eat.
7. Bon Appetit!
