Chocolatey Peanut Butter Fingers

Get your chocolate and peanut butter fix here!!!!! with added toffee almost like a butterfinger.........
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter flavored crisco shortening ( plus additional for greasing pan.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all- purpose flour
1 cup uncooked oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 ( 6 ounce ) pkg of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1 to 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
milk chocolate english toffee bits, or heath candy bar broken up small
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch glass baking dish with the shortening
3. FOR COOKIE BASE;.....................
4. combine shortening, sugar, and brown sugar, egg and water in a large bowl; beat at medium speed on mixer until well blended.
5. beat in 1/3 cup of peanut-butter, and vanilla.
6. combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt. add gradually to cream mixture at low speed on mixer.beat until well blended. spread in greased baking dish.
7. bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light -brown and center is just set.
8. DO NOT OVER-BAKE............
9. remove from pan and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips, let stand for 5 minutes or untilchips become shiny and soft,then spread to cookie. cool slightly.
10. cut into bars about 2x1-3/4 inches. cool completely.
11. FOR DRIZZLE AND TOPPING...................
12. combine powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons peanut-butter and evaporated milk, stir intil well blended; drizzle over chocolate bars, and sprinkle with toffee bits.........
13. yields 2- 1/2 dozen
