Chocolate Shortbread X-Mas Trees |

For a pretty gift, stack a few cookies, wrap in colored plastic food wrap and tie with raffia Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 cup butter, softened |
1 3/4 cups flour |
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips |
2 tablespoons shortening |

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°. 2. Combine powdered sugar and butter in mixer bowl. 3. Beat until creamy, 1-2 minutes. 4. Add flour, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon until well mixed for about 1-2 minutes. 5. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface one-half at a time (keeping remaining dough refrigerated), to 1/4-inch thickness. 6. Cut with X-mas tree cookie cutters. 7. Bake for 10-12 minutes. 8. Melt baking chips and shortening in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. 9. After cookies are cooled, drizzle glaze over cookies. 10. Let stand until set. |
