Another recipe from Strictly Thrifty Menus using Bisquick. Double chocolate cookies- both flavored and iced with chocolate. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening |
1 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 tablespoons water |
2 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares, melted |
2 cups bisquick baking mix |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
2 -3 tablespoons water |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350*.
2. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla, water and chocolate. Stir in 2 cups baking mix and nuts.
3. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.
4. Bake 15 minutes. Cool and frost with Quick Chocolate Frosting.
5. Quick Chocolate Frosting:.
6. Blend powdered sugar, cocoa and 2-3 Tblsp. of water.
