Chocolate Pecan Pie

Incredible pecan pie loaded with chocolate. Nothing better than the combination of nuts and chocolate. Yummy.
Ingredients:
8 ounces semisweet baking chocolate
1 refrigerated pie crust
2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups pecan halves
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350.
2. Coarsely chop 4 squares of the chocolate and set aside.
3. Line 9-inch pie plate as directed on package with pie crust.
4. Microwave remaining 4 squares of chocolate and butter in large bowl on high 2 minutes.
5. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
6. Brush bottom of pie crust with small amount of beaten egg.
7. Stir sugar, corn syrup, eggs and vanilla into chocolate mixture until well blended.
8. Stir in pecans and chopped chocolate then pour into pie crust and bake 55 minutes.
9. Cool on wire rack.
