Chocolate Pecan Pie

This is an easy rich dessert. Wonderful if served with ice cream.
Ingredients:
2 pre-made deep dish 8-inch pie crusts, thawed
6 eggs
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1/2 tablespoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter
1 pinch salt
1 lb whole shelled pecans
1/2 lb chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine all of the above, except for pecans and chocolate chips, in a mixing bowl on medium speed until well blended.
3. Add pecans and chocolate chips and stir by hand until incorporated.
4. Pour into pie shell and cook for 45 - 50 minutes on the bottom rack of the oven.
5. Serve with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
