Chocolate Pecan Pie

Very decadent, rich and delicious. I often make this for entertaining at Christmas. Nice with a little dollop of whipped cream.
Ingredients:
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup corn syrup
4 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, stir eggs, corn syrup, chocolate, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended.
2. Stir in pecans.
3. Pour into pastry shell.
4. Bake at 350°F for 50 - 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between the edge and centre comes out clean.
5. Cool on wire rack.
