Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn starch
dash of salt
2 cups milk
4 egg yolks, lightly beaten
2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in top of a double boiler; add milk, egg yolks, and chocolate, stirring until smooth. Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until mixture is very thick and smooth. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla. Cool to room temperature.
