Chocolate Nut Wafers

An easy slice and bake recipe from The Pillsbury Cookbook. I like to make them for Christmas with almonds.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, butter, chocolate, vanilla, and egg. Blend well.
2. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended.
3. Divide dough in half on 2 sheets of waxed paper, shape each half into roll 2 inches in diameter. Wrap. Refrigerate until firm (about 3 hours).
4. Heat oven to 400°F
5. Cut dough into 1/4 inch slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
6. Bake at 400F for 6 to 8 minutes until set. (Do not overbake.) Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
