LOVE this chocolate mousse with a touch of grand mariner!! MMMM' good! Enjoy. From my friend Carrie. I like to chill at least an hour. Ingredients:
1 (4-ounce) package sweet baking chocolate |
4 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate |
1/4 cup grand marnier or other orange-flavored liqueur |
2 cups whipping cream |
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar |
garnishes: orange rind strips, whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. 2. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolates melt. 3. Remove from heat, and cool to lukewarm. 4. (Mixture will thicken and appear grainy as it cools.) 5. Beat whipping cream until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form. 6. Gently fold about one-fourth of whipped cream mixture into chocolate mixture; fold in remaining whipped cream mixture. 7. Spoon into individual dishes; chill until ready to serve. 8. Garnish, if desired. |
