This reciped came from my Grandmother who knows where she come up with it. It makes a good quick cake and cupcake. Ingredients:
2 cups white flour |
1 cup sugar |
4 tablespoons cocoa |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 pinch salt |
1 cup boiling water |
1 cup mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 cup nuts or 1 cup raisins or 1 cup chocolate chunks |
Directions:
1. Mix together the Boil water and Mayonnaise mix well and sit a side.
2. Mix together dry Ingredients. Now incorporate the Mayonnaise mix with the dry ingredients and add vanilla and nuts (optional).
3. Pour into cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or untill cake tester comes out clean.
4. When cake is cool add your favorite Icing.
