Chocolate Fudge

An easy candy recipe, requiring no thermometer.
Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
10 marshmallows
1/2 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. In heavy saucepan, bring marshmallows, milk and sugar to boil over medium heat. Continue to boil for 6 minutes.
2. Remove pan from heat and stir in butter, vanilla and chocolate chips. Stir till smooth and pour into buttered 8 inch square pan.
3. Cool thoroughly and cut into squares.
4. Add 1/2 to 1 cup nuts, if desired, after butter and chips are melted.
