Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Apple Cake

from ethnic baking site: a Dr Oetker cake recipe described as simply delcious! Although spelt flour is used in this recipe, try whole wheat flour too. Please refer to my post of International conversion charts for the recipe if needed
Ingredients:
5 eggs
200 g sugar
1 pkt vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tsp cinnamon
200 g ground hazelnuts
150 g spelt flour
2 tsp baking powder
250 soft margarine
1000 g apples
1 squeezed lime
200 g dark chocolate
100 g butter
1 tsp cinnamon
2 pkt vanilla sugar
Directions:
1. Beat eggs until frothy
2. Add sugar, salt, cinnamon and vanilinsugar and beat until sugar has dissolved.
3. Mix Ground hazelnuts, sifted flour and baking powder, together
4. Add the margarine and mix everything together very well
5. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper, and distribute the batter.
6. Peel apples, remove seeds and cut into thin slices and drizzle with lime juice.
7. Spread sliced apples on dough.
8. Bake in 160 ° C ( 325F ) for about 35 minutes or apples tender and cake is done
9. Melt chocolate with butter and cinnamon
10. spread ( or deizzle well ) over the cake as desired.
11. Let cake cool completely before cutting
