This chocolatey bread has got it all, bananas, chocolate chips and cinnamon - oh my! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup mashed ripe banana(2 to 3 medium)
1/2 cup shortening
2 tbs melted butter
2 eggs
1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan.
3. Combine all ingredients except small chocolate chips and walnuts in large bowl and blend them well with the mixer on medium speed.
4. Stir in small chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
6. Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
7. Cool for 10 minutes and then gently remove from the pan.
8. Cool the bread completely on wire rack.
