Mmmmm....chocolate heaven in a cookie. My kids love these....(who am I kidding, I do too) I like to make these for Christmas using red and green m&m's. But I make them all year long. These are a moist cookie that won't last long!!! Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening |
3/4 cup butter, softened |
2 cups sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup m&m |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350.
2. In large bowl, combine shortening, butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla and eggs; beat until smooth.
4. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off.
5. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; blend well.
6. Stir in chocolate pieces.
7. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
8. Bake at 350 for 8 to 9 minutes or until edges are set.
9. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
10. Cool 2 minutes.
11. Remove from cookie sheets.
