  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray two 8 x 4 inch loaf pans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, egg, applesauce, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Stir in zucchini.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients. Stir just until dry ingredient are moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread batter evenly in prepared pans. Bake for 50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.Cool five minutes in pans, remove and let cool on a wire rack before serving.
