Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Drain cherries well - reserve juice - set aside
  2. Frosting:- Place chocolate chips & condensed milk in a small saucepan & heat on med/low stirring constantly until chocolate has melted & mixture is well combined. Set aside
  3. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda & salt
  4. In small bowl of electric mixer, beat together butter & sugar until well combined
  5. Add egg & vanilla & beat well until fluffy
  6. On low speed, gradually add flour, mix well
  7. Shape about 3/4 tblsp of mixture into balls & place about 1 apart on ungreased cookie sheet
  8. Press thumb down into the center of each ball
  9. Bake in 350 degree oven for approx 10 - 11 mins or until cookie is slightly firm on the edges
  10. Remove from the oven & immediately press 1 cherry into the thumprint of each cookie
  11. Let cool on cookie sheet for about 6 mins
  12. Spoon about 3/4 tsp of frosting over top of each warm cookie covering the cherry - the frosting will flow down over the still warm cherry
  13. Remove cookies to a wire rack to cool completely
  14. Enjoy
