Chocolate Caramel Cashew Squares

Ingredients:
1 cups all purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 confectioners sugar optional
1 egg
1 cup cashews coarsely chopped
1 cup chocolate morsels
12 ounces caramel ice cream topping
1 cup milk chocolate morsels
1 cup margarine
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Combine flour and brown sugar in large bowl. Cut in margarine with
3. pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Stir in 1/2 cup chocolate morsels; press firmly onto bottom of
5. ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.
6. Beat egg and ice cream topping in medium bowl with wire whisk until
7. well blended. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup chocolate morsels and the
8. cashews; spread evenly over crust.
9. Bake 18 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut
10. into 24 squares. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
11. Yield: 24 servings (1 square each)
