Chocolate Almond Quickbread (Abm)

This came from my Bread Maker's Bible. The addition of actual almonds was my idea, the original didn't have it despite being called Cocoa Almond Bread . Yogurt or non-dairy milk probably works just fine in this. Surprisingly, this is a quickbread although it contains yeast. Omit the wheat gluten if using bread flour. Cook time is the quickbread cycle, my machine is 90 minutes.
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons vital wheat gluten
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/3 cup sliced almonds
Directions:
1. Put the ingredients in your bread machine in the order listed by the manufacturer, selecting the quickbread cycle.
