Chinese Plum Sauce

Very easy versitile sauce. We use on egg rolls. We like this better than the red sweet and sour sauce.
Ingredients:
18 ounces plum jam
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (i sometimes used dried)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2-1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot
soy sauce (a couple of splashed could be optional)
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients.
2. Bring to a boil, stirring.
3. Let simmer a couple minutes. then remove from heat. Great warm or at room temperature.
