Chinese Plum Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 18 oz plum jam
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes (i sometimes used dried)
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1/2-1 tsp fresh gingerroot
  • soy sauce (a couple of splashed could be optional)

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients.
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring.
  3. Let simmer a couple minutes. then remove from heat. Great warm or at room temperature.
