This was my mother's recipe; I don't know where she found it but it was a staple when I was a kid. I know there are other recipes for Chinese Hamburger Hash on the 'zaar, but not with these proportions.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
2 onions
5 stalks celery (about same amount as onions)
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (3 ounce) can chinese noodles
Directions:
1. Brown meat, add onions & celery.
2. Add remaining ingredients (except noodles).
3. Place in greased casserole & cover.
4. Bake 30 minutes at 350.
5. Remove cover, bake 30 minutes more.
6. Cover with noodles - bake 15 minutes more.
