Chinese Ham Balls With Fruited Ginger Sauce

A different kind of meatball!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground smoked ham
1 lb ground pork sausage
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
2 eggs
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 cup water
1 (15 ounce) can fruit cocktail
1/2 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup sherry wine
Directions:
1. Combine the first 7 ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2. Shape into 2 inch balls.
3. Brown on all sides in a skillet over low heat; drain off excess fat and add water; cover and cook for about 20 minutes.
4. Drain the fruit cocktail, reserving 1 cup of syrup.
5. Combine the fruit cocktail, reserved syrup and remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boiling point over low heat, stirring frequently. Serve hot over Ham balls.
